PGES Talent Show

Who: Any PGES student may audition. Parental guidance is highly encouraged! Read through this information!

What: Singing, Dancing, Instrument, Karate, Magic, Gymnastics, and much more! On this link, you’ll find dozens of songs that Mr. Newsham already owns as a sing-along AND karaoke version. If you would like to sing, you may use these OR your own.

When:

• Auditions: Thursday, January 8, or Monday, January 12, or Tuesday, January 13, from dismissal – 5:00 P.M. You will stay after school to audition. Please change into or wear your performance outfit. Be prepared, confident, and entertaining! I will provide a piano, gym mats, chair, music stand, and table, if you need them. You may leave after your audition. Parents/Guardians are welcome to watch. No more than 25 acts will be selected for the talent show to keep it at about 1 hour. I will notify all students on Tuesday, January 20, of the final Talent Show roster.
• The Audition Rating Scale is how I determine the top 25 acts for the Talent Show. Please read it!
• Practice: Thursday, January 22, from dismissal – 5:00 P.M. for all students selected to participate. You may leave after your practice. Parents/Guardians are welcome to watch.
• Dress Rehearsal: Tuesday, January 27, from dismissal – 5:00 P.M. for all students selected to participate. Please wear your performance outfit. When not rehearsing, plan on doing homework, reading quietly, or watching respectfully. You may leave after your performance. Parents/Guardians are welcome to watch. Here is the practice, dress rehearsal, and final performance order. (link opens after January 16)
• Performances:
  • Thursday, January 29, 2:15 PM for 3rd, 4th, 5th grade
  • Thursday, January 29, 7:00 PM for family & friends
  • Friday, January 30, 2:15 PM for K, 1st, 2nd grade
